2017 Rob Hall Cabernets

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of red currant and mulberry are overlaid with fresh tobacco leaf and dried herbs followed by spicy green bean and capsicum like end notes. Light to medium weight with a youthful freshness and elegance to the mouthfeel the palate sees curranty mulberry flavours infused with fresh herbs overlay vanillin cedar and subtle spicy tobacco leaf characters. Finishes dry with balanced fresh acidity and very fine grained, well integrated tannins. Aftertaste of mulberry, herbs, tobacco leaf and light vanillin cedar.
Cellar 3-4 years.

The time Rob Hall spent at Mount Mary with John Middleton comes through loud and clear with this elegant and immaculately balanced wine. It is smooth as silk, with cassis fruit in the vanguard, fine tannins are there, but don't interrupt the conversation. Drink by 2037.
