Matured for 12 months in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of plum and red liquorice are overlaid by smoky vanillin cedar, dried herbs and a white pepper note. Medium bodied with an elegant feel, ripe purple fruits meld into red liquorice, vanillin cedar, spicy herb and pepper characters. Finishes with good freshness, fine grained tannins and a medium to long aftertaste.
