2017 Portsea Estate Syrah

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a bright red purple hue. The fragrant nose sees violet, ripe dark cherry, red liquorice and clove scents blossoming from the glass followed by smoky cedar, spicy dried herb and white pepper notes. Soft and supple in the mouth the light to medium weight palate has a savoury profile of red fruits, clove and red liquorice over subtle forest floor characters and spicy herbs. Moderately powered finishing with bright acidity, velvety tannins and a medium length aftertaste. A fragrant cool climate Syrah.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
