2017 Poonawatta Four Corners Shiraz

Dense black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced aniseed top notes are followed by dark to black plum, vanillin oak, scorched earth and spicy leather notes. Medium to full in body with a plush feel, the palate is layered with liquorice and dark plum fruits which overlay a smoky vanillin cedar, dried meat, fennel and earthy blackpepper background. Polished tannins with a medium to long, slightly chewy conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
