2017 Pira Barbera d'Alba Superiore

Pitch black in colour with a deep bright dark red hue. Freshly crushed blackberry and dark raspberry aromas intermix with liquorice, earth and infusions of fresh herbs. Medium bodied with a rustic back bone of firm tannins, the palate has juicy blackberry, blackcurrant and liquorice flavours over a back drop of earth, herbs and spice. Dry grippy finish with bright acidity and a medium length aftertaste.
