$1320.00 Dozen
ABV: 13%

Based in the village of Meursault, Domaine Boisson-Vadot release wines under three labels from the same estate; Domaine Boisson-Vadot from Bernard, along with his son Pierre Boisson and daughter Anne Boisson. The wines across the three ‘labels’ are all made at the cellar in Meursault. No herbicide or fertiliser is used in the vineyard. Harvest and sorting are done manually. Wines are fermented wild in barrel, thereafter raised in oak for 18-21 months, with up to 40% new oak used for the top cuvées. Fined but not filtered. On top of that, the vines mostly carry a decent amount of age – some 60 years plus – all closely tended by hand before what Pierre Boisson calls ‘slow, patient winemaking with not too much oak and minimal lees stirring’. This tiny production Bourgogne Blanc is sourced from six parcels stretching from Meursault and Auxey-Duresses across to Volnay.

Other Reviews....
Wafting from the glass with aromas of white currants, spring flowers and green apple, Boisson's 2017 Bourgogne Blanc is medium to full-bodied, satiny and attractively complete, with racy acids and a long, mouthwatering finish. Drink 2020 - 2035.
