2017 Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir

Deep dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Very perfumed, a potent bouquet of violets, dark cherries, plum, ripe strawberry and anise fills the nostrils. Forest floor, a subtle meatiness and spicy cedar notes are also evident. The palate marries power and richness to elegance with generous dark cherry, ripe strawberry and anise flavours overlaying spicy cedar, scorched earth and dried herbs. Vibrant finish with slightly dryish but fine grained tannins providing ample structure. Concludes long and spicy.
