Matured in new and seasoned French oak puncheons and demi muids for a period of 14 months. Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Intense dark plum, liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas are trailed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. Bold, powerful and plush the palate is engulfed with rich dark plum, liquorice and ripe blackberry fruits which overlay a back drop of well integrated toasty vanillin oak, subtle earth and spicy pepper characters. Silky smooth tannins with a long opulent aftertaste drenched in black fruits.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Like the JPB Shiraz, has a luxury cork individually checked for any sources of taint. This is also from Blewitt Springs, 95% crushed and destemmed, 5% whole bunches, multiple fermenters, all large format French oak 500-600ml, 14 months in oak. In a land of feast and plenty, the oak needing to (and will) back off somewhat - after which this wine will be stunning. Drink by 2037.
