2017 Patrick Piuze Coteau de Fontenay Chablis

Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Subtle fresh pear and lime aromas are followed by wet slate, citrus and mineral notes. Possessing an understated intensity the palate features fresh pear, lime and green apple flavours over stony characters, faint dried honey and flinty mineral. Dry finish with vibrant acidity and a long stylish slate infused aftertaste.

Above Vaulorent, this is the coolest and latest site Piuze harvests. There’s stony and spicy aromas with some white flowers. The palate has very smooth acidity. There’s a core of green mangoes and white peaches. Super fresh and long. Elegant and focused. Drink now or hold.
