2017 Nantua Les Deux Shiraz

Totally opaque black at its core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. The nose opens with prominent whole bunch dried clove like top notes which overlay black cherry, liquorice, cigar box, scorched earth and peppered herb scents. The savoury, texturally smooth palate has its fruit largely masked by prominent dried clove characters with black cherry, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar, dried herb, scorched earth and blackpepper sitting underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a smoky dried clove and black olive infused aftertaste.
