Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of liquorice, plum, earthy vanillin cedar, smoked meats and blackpepper aromas. There’s a cool climate elegance to the palate with flavours of liquorice and plum melding into scorched earth, dried meat and blackpepper elements. Slightly dryish finish with grainy tannins and a medium length blackpepper infused aftertaste that sees the emergence of some leathery characters.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 12.8%

Other Reviews….
Curried egged sandwiches in dad’s barn, said my tasting partner.
Smells like Australian bushwalks, eucalyptus, sweet earth, paperbark bark, old campfire, pretty bitter flowers and dried leaves. Nice. Savoury flavours too, autumnal, dark berries in there, dried plum, saline notes. Neat swish of light, lacy tannins emerge, some ferrous characters. Character filled, delicious, intriguing.
