2017 Moppity Vineyards Estate Hilltops Shiraz

Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of plum and liquorice mix with dried herbs, scorched earth and vanillin spice. Medium bodied, soft and fleshy, plum and liquorice fruits sit over a back drop of scorched earth, dried herbs and spicy cedar. Smooth tannin structure with a medium depth aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Five clones from seven blocks, cold soaked, 14 day co-fermentation with 2% viognier, matured with a parcel of declassified Reserve wine in a mix of new and used French oak. A very expressive bouquet, with cherry blossom and spicy aromas, the medium-bodied palate picking up the story without blinking with its layers of seductive red and purple fruits.
