Very deep black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. A swirl of the glass reveals aromatics of aniseed and black cherries over smoky vanillin cedar, scorched earth and blackpepper. Medium to full bodied, aniseed and black cherry flavours run into toasty vanillin oak, earth and blackpepper characters. Opulent feel with slightly chewy tannins and a medium length aftertaste.

From four vineyards, separately vinified and matured for 18 months before blending. A Star Wars hero, its intensity and length brooking no argument. Blackberry, dark chocolate and French oak follow the style of previous vintages, '17 giving added presence. Drink by 2037.
