2017 Mitchelton Single Block Spring Heathcote Shiraz

Totally opaque black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Sailing from the glass are ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit scents trailed by vanillin cedar, traces of scorched earth and spicy fennel. Medium to full bodied the palate has a degree of elegance and freshness not normally associated with the Heathcote district. Bright blackberry, liquorice and plum fruits meld into subtle vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice elements. Fine grained, structured tannins with a refined medium to long conclusion.
