2017 Mitchelton Estate Grown Heathcote Shiraz

Impenetrable black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Intense aromatics of blackberry, liquorice and black cherries fill the nostrils followed by vanillin oak, hints of scorched earth, fennel and pepper. Rich blackberry and liquorice fruits are layered across the palate in opulent style with black cherry, subtle blackberry, vanillin cedar, liquorice allsorts and spicy pepper sitting beneath. Sturdy yet polished tannins provide a good framework. Excellent power finishing with abundant length on the aftertaste.
