2017 Massena Western Ridge Caviste Blend

A Shiraz based blend (85%) with 5% Primitivo, 5% Petite Syrah and 5% Tannant included. Inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose throws up aromatics of dark plum, liquorice and ripe blueberry followed by some vanillin cedar and faint hints of earth with subtle spicy herb end notes. Rich, succulent and fresh with a vibrant, juicy textural feel the palate is generously flavoured with blackberry, liquorice and plum fruit over vanillin cedar and spice. Finishes with fresh acidity, velvety tannins and a long aftertaste of juicy blackberries, liquorice, blueberries, subtle vanillin cedar and spice.
