$203.88 Dozen
Cellar: 5 - 6 Years (2025-2026)
ABV: 14%

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Showing good aromatic lift are aromas of red currants, mulberry and a whiff of red liquorice trailed by vanillin cedar, tobacco and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied, spicy ripe red currant and mulberry fruits have a very elegant feel with tobacco, earth, spicy cedar and faint bay leaf elements ensuing. Finely grained tannins are well integrated. Refined conclusion.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews… A 70/30% blend fermented in stainless steel and oak barrels, then largely matured in stainless steel. It is a freakish wine that has been selling for around $17-18 since it was first released in '04 and has won 7 trophies and 79 medals to date. Its duty is to be fresh, fruit-driven and medium-bodied, the tannins incidental. And so it is. Drink by 2027.
