Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated blackcurrant and mulberry scents are intermeshed with dusty vanillin cedar, light tobacco and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied, generous blackcurrant fruit laced with bay leaf graces the palate with an undercard of mulberry, lightly dusted vanillin cedar and spice. Fleshy mouthfeel with bright acids and polished tannins. Elegant medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
Fermentation completed in French hogsheads, then matured for 15 months. A solid merlot, presumably from old clones, but is fragrant. Blackcurrant/cassis flavours lead the way; good oak/tannin balance; barrel ferment notes aid the wine. Drink by 2039.
