Matured for 18 months in oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up ripe blackcurrant and plum scents followed by vanillin cedar, dried herb and spice notes. The palate is boldly flavoured with cassis and aniseed like flavours which overlay a backdrop of vanillin oak, dried herbs and spice. Finishes slightly dryish with polished tannins and a ripe medium length aftertaste.
