2017 M.Chapoutier Tournon Shays Flat Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in French oak puncheons, approximately 40% new for 10 months. Totally opaque midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant infused with a prominent combination of dried herbs and cedary tobacco characters are trailed by some black olive and spice. Rich blackcurrant and black cherry fruits meld into elements of dried herbs, cedary tobacco characters, earthy black olive and spice. Sturdy, slightly grainy tannins provide good structure. Ripe medium length aftertaste laced with tobacco leaf and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
