Matured in older French oak hogsheads. Midnight black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated aromas of spicy dark plum and liquorice are followed by vanillin cedar, earth and dried herbs. Rich with a fleshy textural feel the medium to full bodied palate is decorated with fresh dark plum and liquorice fruits. Subtle elements of dried herbs, earthy vanillin cedar and spice ensue. Finishes with good freshness, velvety tannins and a lengthy aftertaste.
