Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques. Impenetrable midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice aromas intermix with some spicy vanillin oak and choc mint notes. Rich luscious dark plum and liquorice flavours fill the full bodied palate supported by toasty vanillin cedar, mint and spice. Velvet like tannins with a slightly dryish finish. The vanillin cedar component becoming more prominent on the aftertaste.
