“A wonderful Margaret River Cabernet Merlot that delivers special value.”

A blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 8.5% Cabernet Franc and 2.5% Petit Verdot matured for 14 months in French oak of which 15% was new. Totally opaque black dark red heart with a deep dark red hue. Rising out of the glass with good elevation are ripe red to black currant and mulberry scents which are intermeshed with vanillin cedar, spicy tobacco and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied the palate is decorated with rich red to black currant and mulberry fruits which have a soft fleshy feel. Cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and spicy black olive elements sit in the background. Very refined tannins show excellent integration. Finishes with impressive depth and a long savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
73% cabernet sauvignon, 16% merlot, 9% cabernet franc, 2% petit verdot matured for 14 months in barrel (15% new). It's hard to believe the price of this gift horse. It's complex and rich, with blackcurrant/plum fruit, cedary oak and soft tannins all on the same page. Ready already. Drink by 2032.
