2017 JJ Hahn Western Ridge 1975 Planting Shiraz

Aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. Totally opaque black as night heart with a deep dark red hue. Ripe dark plum, liquorice and mocha aromas flow out of the glass with lightly toasted vanillin oak, earth and spice ensuing. Opulent in its feel the medium to full bodied palate is generously endowed with plush dark plum and liquorice fruits which overlay a vanillin oak, light mocha and spicy earth back drop. Silky tannins concluding with ample length.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
