2017 Indigo Beechworth Shiraz

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Dark plum and liquorice aromas meld into smoked meats, dried herbs, spicy cedar and pepper. Medium bodied, the palate features elegant plum and liquorice fruits over a back drop of smoked meats and peppered dried herb characters. Fine grained tannins finishing with medium length.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Matured in a new 2800l French cask for 12 months. Medium to full-bodied; the very complex bouquet reflects the oak, but not at the expense of the luscious black fruits, with a garland of charcuterie and all-important tannins. Will go the distance and then some. Drink by 2042.
