2017 Heathcote Winery Mail Coach Shiraz

Aged in a combination of French and American oak with the addition of 2% Viognier. The deeply coloured dark red black core is totally opaque with a deep dark red hue. Lifted plum, ripe blueberry and liquorice aromas run into lightly smoked vanillin cedar, a hint of earth and pepper. Medium to full bodied dark plum and juicy blueberry flavours fill the mouth over some liquorice, vanillin cedar, subtle scorched earth nuances and blackpepper. Softly textured, velvet smooth tannins with good bright underlying acidity leading into a medium length aftertaste.
