2017 Gomersal Wines Lyndoch Road Shiraz Mataro

Matured in new and seasoned American oak hogsheads for 22 months. Magnificent density of colour displaying an impenetrable pitch black heart along with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting out of the glass are potent ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum scents which meld into toasty vanillin oak, earthy dark chocolate and spice notes. Rich, seductive mouthfeel with lavish blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits cast across the palate. Toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth elements lie beneath a sturdy tannin structure which firms up the long extravagant finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
