2017 Giant Steps Wombat Creek Vineyard Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a distinctive tinge of green to the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of fresh white peaches and delicate dried honey are overlaid by gun flint characters with subtle notes of citrusy nougat and cashew also present. Light to medium bodied with an elegant creamy mouthfeel the palate dishes up fleshy stonefruit flavours of white peaches and nectarines over citrusy nougat, biscuity cashew characters and subtle gun flint. Finishes dry with good freshness and a medium to long aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, citrusy nougat, light biscuity cashew characters and a hint of gun flint.
