2017 Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of white peach and nectarine subtlety draped with dried honey are followed by biscuity oak, gun flint and spice. Delicious fresh white peach flavours merge into ripe nectarine and notions of dried honey over a backdrop of biscuity oak, funky matchstick infusions and light spice. Despite its elegant feel there’s an understated richness to this wine which will fully emerge with bottle age. Clean dry finish with vibrant but balanced acidity. Long refined aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, subtle dried honey, spicy biscuity oak and gun flint infusions.
