2017 Gapsted Ballerina Canopy Heathcote Shiraz

Aged for 12 months in American oak barrels. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up aromas of liquorice, dark plums and dark cherries over earth, toasty oak and spice. Medium to full in body, rich juicy textured dark cherry, liquorice and dark plum flavours run into some prominent toasty oak on the back palate with elements of spicy clove also evident. Velvet smooth yet supportive tannins with a lingering vanillin oak finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
