Matured for 24 months in a mixture of new and second use French oak hogsheads.Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Emanating from the glass are aromatics of liquorice, dark cherry and blackpepper trailed by vanillin cedar and spice. The full bodied palate is generously endowed with ripe dark cherry, plum and liquorice fruits which are underpinned by toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper characters. Fleshy mouthfeel with polished tannins and a medium to long aftertaste.
