2017 Fire Gully Chardonnay

Produced by Pierro this wine displays a brilliant very pale straw colour with a very distinctive greenish tinge to the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose emits scents of white peach, citrus and dried honey followed by struck match stick notes, nougat and light spice. Fresh and vibrant with a lightly creamed mid palate feel, flavours of white peaches and citrus gently laced with dried honey sit over infusions of gun flint and subtle spicy nougat. Dry finish with lively, balanced acidity. Good length concluding with an aftertaste of white peaches, dried honey, gun flint and light spicy nougat characters.
