A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Shiraz and 7% Merlot aged in French oak, 40% new, for 24 months. Midnight black core with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and dark plum rise out of the glass intermingling with liquorice, vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco and spicy dried herbs along the way. Rich, silky ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and liquorice fruits are layered across the palate underscored by cedary tobacco characters, light earth and bay leaf. Spicy finish with velvety yet well constructed tannins. The rich, amply fruited aftertaste both long and refined.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.5%
A glorious, superbly blended trio of 58% cabernet sauvignon, 37% shiraz and 5% merlot. It is heady with violets, cassis and woodsy spices. The full-bodied palate impresses with its gloss, its detail, neat acidity and firm tannins informing of its ageing potential. Harmony in a glass. Drink by 2037.
