2017 Clyde Park Bannockburn Chardonnay

Brilliant straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Pronounced ripe peach and apricot aromas intermix with honeycomb, light butterscotch, traces of cashew, nougat and spice. Rich with a luscious creamy like texture the palate is filled with ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb like flavours which meld into butterscotch, citrusy nougat, subtle bacon fat and spicy clove nuances. Broad mouthfeel finishing with sufficient freshness and a long creamy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Three clones planted on river flats, hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed to French puncheons and some hogsheads (33% new), wild-fermented, 33% mlf, 9 months on lees. Elegant, fresh and long, the mlf a positive influence. Bright straw-green; tangy pink and white grapefruit and nectarine. Vital freshness ex the '17 vintage shines through. Drink by 2030.
