Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark cherry, wild strawberry and anise aromas intermingle with dried meats, fresh herbs, stalky cedar and spice. Light to mid weight the very savoury palate sports a refined flavour profile of dark cherries, winter strawberries, subtle anise, stalky cedar, infusions of fresh herbs and a delicate meatiness. Good power and concentration with polished yet nicely framed tannins. Concludes long and elegant.
