Matured in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackberry and liquorice intermix with scorched earth, vanillin oak and spice. Soft and plush with good richness the medium to full bodied palate has expressive flavours of dark plum, liquorice and toasty vanillin oak over spicy earth and pepper elements. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark plum, liquorice, earth, toasty vanillin oak and pepper.
