2017 Brave Souls The Lighthouse Keeper Riesling

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Intense lime and lemon aromas burst out of the glass with elements of granny smith apple, talc and chalky mineral also present. Showcasing all that has been great about the near perfect 2017 vintage for Riesling, driving flavours of lime and citrus run across the palate over a back drop of orange rind, green apple, chalky talc and infusions of mineral. Outstanding power and concentration finishing dry with fresh zesty acidity. Long aftertaste of lime, citrus, orange rind, talc and chalky mineral characters.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years.

From vineyards across the Eden Valley, night-harvested, destemmed, chilled, pressed to tank for fermentation at 15 degrees C. Pale straw-green; the aromatic bouquet picks up citrus blossom on the first whiff, the palate seamlessly running with lime/lemon flavours along silvery lines of acidity. A very good example of a very good vintage. Drink by 2027.
