Other Reviews….
Merlot for Brad Hickey is produced in amphora, “this is to look at merlot, but to think about it without wood”. That statement could go either way…
Sloshy textured, mellow and soft but there’s good chomp of tannin and a really savoury, almost ground nut savouriness running through the wine with added detail from a garrigue like element and a ferrous, powdery finish. Gosh, lots happening here. Lovely texture, appealing, supple and yet fresh. Lots of depth, intensity and drive. It’s a cracker. Drink 2019-2024.
