Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of black plum, anise and morello cherries that have an incense overlay. Also present are earth and spicy vanilla notes. Medium bodied the palate serves up black cherry and liquorice flavours over earthy incense like infusions and spice. Dryish finish with slightly chewy tannins. Concludes with an earthy aftertaste of modest length.
