The Malterdinger Pinot Noir is the village wine from Weingut Huber in Baden. Fruit comes from vines of up to 25 years of age, with deeper roots, 30 to 35% whole bunch. After harvesting the grapes with a crop round 55 hl per ha, the wine is matured for 12 months in 3 and 4 year old barriques.
Bright red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Lifted red cherry and cranberry fruit like scents are trailed by fresh herb, light stalk, dusty cedar and spice. Fresh red cherry, spiced winter strawberry and cranberry flavours are underscored by dried herbs and light dusty cedar. Crunchy and elegant in its feel with bright acidity, well integrated tannins and a long vibrant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
