2017 Bent Creek Black Dog Shiraz

Matured for 14 months in French and American oak. Totally opaque black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aniseed top notes are trailed by black cherries, toasty vanillin oak, fennel and blackpepper. Rich aniseed and black cherry fruits have a plush feel on the densely concentrated palate. Smoky vanillin oak, earthy fennel and pepper ensues. Velvety yet structural tannins carry the powerful core of black fruit. Long peppery conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
