Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant dark cherry and subtle anise scents mix with notions of dried herbs, some meaty characters, light earth and spicy cedar. Light in body and supple in its feel, the palate is missing the varietals hallmark power wave of flavour. Dark cherry and strawberry fruits are intertwined with dried herbs, light earth and spicy cedar. Polished tannins. Concludes with medium length.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc. 13.6%

Other Reviews….
MV6, 114 and 115 clones, 10-15% whole bunch, 20% cold soak, wild ferment, 10 months in French oak (30% new). Holding its hue well. A cocktail of exotic spices on the bouquet, the palate focusing more on purple fruits, but it's the juicy/slippery fruit that give the wine is birthmark. Drink by 2032.
