Aged in French oak puncheons and barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Dryish finish with slightly chalky tannins and a medium length aftertaste.

Vines planted '69, hand-picked, 20% whole bunch, 25% whole berry, 1.5% viognier ‘addition', open-fermented, 24 days on skins, 12 months in French oak (30% new). A good wine, worthy of the label of bygone years. Drink by 2037.
