2017 Auld Family Wines Strawbridge Shiraz

Matured for 11 months in a mixture of American and French oak. Totally opaque black dark red core with a bright dark red hue. Lifted dark plum and red liquorice aromas meld into dark cherries, vanillin cedar and subtle mint notes. Full bodied with a plush opulent feel, rich dark plum, dark cherry and liquorice flavours dominate over toasty vanillin cedar, blueberry and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length, although a touch simple, finishing with a long delicious ripe blue fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
