2016 Zilzie Wines Selection 23 Cabernet Merlot

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright dark red hue. Nosing reveals redcurrant and mulberry aromatics over dusty cedary tobacco characters and spice. The palate displays generous upfront ripe red currant flavours which are overwhelmed by toasty vanillin cedar on the back palate with some spice also present. Youthful bright finish with soft fine grained tannins and lingering toasty vanillin cedar and spice on the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
