Produced predominately from Shiraz that’s co-fermented with Viognier and Marsanne then blended with some Mataro. Very deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Perfumed plum, liquorice and blackberry aromas intermix with hints of blueberry, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Elegant yet intense, rich blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours flood the medium bodied palate. Underscoring the beautifully defined fruit is vanillin cedar, faint traces of honeysuckle, light earth and spice. Supplely textured with perfectly integrated velvet like yet structured tannins. Outstanding depth with a long delicious aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.2%

Other Reviews….
95% shiraz, 2% viognier, 2% mataro, 1% marsanne, whole berries open-fermented with some stalks added back in, some batches with frozen viognier skins on the bottom, some with marsanne skins, matured for 12 months in French barriques (30% new). The most highly aromatic bouquet with perfumed fruits and spices dancing on the forest floor, the palate a liquid expression of the bouquet. Alive with juicy, gently savoury tannins beating a beautiful tattoo, the finish drawn out by the peacock's tail of the multifaceted aftertaste. Drink by 2041.
