Aged in French oak for 20 months. Totally opaque black core with a deep dark red black hue. Lifted liquorice, blackberry and black cherry aromas meld into spicy vanillin oak, light scorched earth and hints of raisins. Medium bodied ripe plum, liquorice and black raspberry flavours run into a solid whack of vanillin cedar with some spicy raisin characters on the finish. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice, black raspberry, vanillin cedar and subtle spicy raisins.
