2016 Voyager Estate Girt by Sea Chardonnay

An excellent entry level Chardonnay from Voyager Estate that was matured in new and old French oak for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted ripe peach and nectarine aromas mingle with dried honey, biscuity oak, nougat and spice. Rich and creamy like in its mouthfeel the palate is filled with ripe peach, tropical fruits and dried honey flavours which sit over a backdrop of biscuity oak, subtle cashew and spicy nougat. Finishes dry with good balanced fresh acidity. Long ripe peach, tropical fruits, dried honey, citrusy nougat, biscuity oak and light spicy cashew aftertaste.
Delicious drinking over the next 4-5 years.
