2016 Vina Cobos Felino Chardonnay

Bright pale straw colour with faint tints of green around the edges and a watery hue. The nose exhibits aromas of ripe peaches and apricots with a light honeycomb overlay followed by some subtle cashew and spicy citrus notes. The palate has good volume in the mouth yet is noticeably fresher than recent vintages with flavours of ripe peaches intermixed with notions of honeycomb and cashew over a dry spicy finish. Good vibrant acidity with a sense of emerging creaminess to the mouthfeel that will fill out further with bottle age. Excellent length and concentration with a medium to long spicy aftertaste of ripe peaches, subtle honeycomb, cashew and biscuity nougat.
