Aged for 8 months in French oak puncheons. Opaque dark purple core with black tinged edges and a bright dark purple hue. Nosing offers up aromas of crushed blue berries and dark plums subtlety infused with violets over some lightly scorched earth and spice. Youthful flavours of ripe blueberries, plums and liquorice have a juicy exuberance to them. Underscoring these are nuances of lightly scorched earth and spice. Dry inky finish with slightly grippy tannins and bright acidity. Aftertaste of blueberries, plums, inky earth and spice.
